We love creating custom designs to embroider on fabric.
Do you ever wonder how interior designers always seem to find the perfect fabric for the project? How the drapes just seem to be created by magic, and the pillows and shams on a bed look absolutely made for the bed?
It’s not really magic, although we’d like you to think so. We’ll say it again: the entire staff at LRM Interior Design is obsessed with every detail. That means if we can’t find the perfect fabric for your curtains, or the perfect pillow for your bed, or the correctly sized cushion for your window seat, we make it. From scratch. Our luxury Newport Beach bachelor pad took Gold in Home of the Year Award! (over 3,500 sq. ft.)
This year’s ASID OC Design Awards took a nautical turn, as they were held aboard the Endeavor as it cruised through Newport Harbor. “It was a beautiful night,” recalls Lisa McDennon, who attended the awards with her husband Kevin, Senior Designer Jan Smith and new design staff member Melissa Morgan. “It was lovely to glide through the harbor and sip cocktails on the deck while mixing with some of Orange County’s top people in the industry!” (read the rest of this post…)

Lisa McDennon
This year Lisa McDennon and the team at LRM Interior Design will be participating in the 4th Annual Designer Runway show. This event is like a combination of Project Runway and Divine Design, but even more challenging. Teams of four will have 90 minutes, seven yards of fabric and one sewing machine, and their task is to create a couture outfit for the Laguna Design Center‘s runway.
Forgive us for being biased, but we already think that Lisa McDennon looks like she’s just stepped off a runway most days. Hopefully she’ll be the one to shimmy her way down the Designer Runway next month, after giving her superb fashion advice to the others on her team.If so, the other teams won’t have a chance!
There will be martinis, wine and hors d’oeuvres for the audience to enjoy while the evening’s events transpire. The team’s outfits will be judged: not by Heidi Klum, but by a panel of celebrity judges hand picked for the occasion.
Tickets are on sale now! Prices start at $35 for general admission, and $75 for VIPs. Join us at the Laguna Design Center on June 16th at 5:30PM to cheer on LRM Interior Design as they strut their stuff down the runway at this exciting event.

2009 ASID Design Award Winner for Living Room Category
Tomorrow is the Gala awards ceremony for the 2009 ASID Design Awards. Lisa Rachelle McDennon Interior Design was up for three awards, including the People’s Choice Award!
Lisa McDennon, principal of LRM Interior Design, will be attending the award ceremony gala, and we’re sure she will have to make her way to the podium at least once to accept an award.
Good luck, Lisa and LRMID! We’ll be at home in our jammies while you’re dressed up and hobnobbing with Orange County’s glitterati….
