“My two favorite aspects of a project have to do with soft furnishings,” explains Kari Seydewitz, one of LRM Interior Design’s full-time designers. “I love designing and creating pillows and window treatments!”

A great example of Kari’s work can be seen in one of LRMID’s current projects in Newport Beach. “I was involved with picking the fabrics, trims, the design, and finally, the installation,” Kari says. “I’m very pleased with the result, as was the client — which is always the most important thing.” (read the rest of this post…)

This week’s inspiration is from Jan Smith, Lead Designer for LRM Interior Design:

“I was inspired by Cheri, a movie I watched at the cinema this weekend, which was set at the turn of the century during the height of the Art Nouveau movement in Paris.

The interiors in the movie were luscious, typifying the Art Noveau movement with its organic motifs, especially the use of floral and plant-inspired designs, and highly stylized, flowing curvilinear forms. (read the rest of this post…)
